ERASMUS+ – PROJECT ProBLeMS
As part of the activities of the ERASMUS+ project: Development and Implementation of Metacognitive Problem-Based Modules in Blended Learning Courses in Medical Sciences (ProBLeMS), from June 15 to 17 in the computer classroom of the Institute for Medical Statistics and Informatics of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Belgrade were organised trainings for teaching and administrative staff of 9 higher education institutions that are members of ERASMUS+ invitation. The training included working on the Moodle platform and the creation of metacognitive problem-based modules in the fields of medical statistics, preventive medicine, basic and clinical medicine. The main goal of the ProBLeMS project is to, with the support of higher education institutions from the European Union in the development and application of a new learning model, improve the education of doctors in higher education institutions in the Western Balkan countries in accordance with social needs. The specific goals are: (1) By implementing a new learning model, enable students to use conceptual, procedural and metacognitive knowledge in solving real problems and (2) Developing the capacity of higher education institutions of the Western Balkans for further improvement of combined learning through cooperation with universities of the European Union and mutual cooperation.
